The rspca
The RSPCA, or Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is the UK's largest and most active animal rights charity. As well as rescuing and re homing animals, the RSPCA works closely with the public, the government and many other organisations to make decisions about new laws and rights surrounding animals. The RSPCA was a major campaigner and driving force of the 2005 hunting act and have been working since then to take legal action against many major hunts which still take place in the UK (such as the Heythrop Hunt). They also hold many protests and marches every year in order to raise awareness about animal rights issues. The RSPCA also invests more than £5 million per year on running a large network of undercover operatives whos job it is to gather evidence about illegal fox hunting.

The nwhsa
The NWHSA - or North West Hunt Saboteurs Association - is an organisation which relies entirely on volunteers to stop hunts across the UK. They do this in a variety of ways including holding protests and making petitions as well as going along to hunts to make sure no laws are broken. However, they also have a small group of people withing their organisation who physically sabotage fox hunts, and they do this in a variety of ways. Some of these techniques include deploying a false fox scent for the dogs to follow and locking gates to delay hunters who have found the scent of a fox.

League against cruel sports
One of the league's posters promoting the hunting ban.
The League Against Cruel Sports is the UK's leading charity in helping to prevent cruelty to animals involved with sports which includes things such as fox hunting and games bird shooting. They also endeavour to stop any acts of cruelty to any wildlife and have a team of 'wildlife police' who work 24/7 around the UK. They have been running a campaign for 6 years to try and eradicate fox hunting completely and encourage members of the public to help them in a variety of ways such as setting up sanctuaries in heavily hunted areas. They raise awareness of their campaigns by rallying politicians and businesses, hosting public debates and gaining media coverage. The League was involved with the conviction of hunters at the Heythrop Hunt (as shown in the video below the RSPCA section) and here is what the chairman, Joe Duckworth, had to say about the issue.
"Prosecutions such as the Heythrop case make clear how many hunts in England and Wales show a total disregard for the law and for our wildlife. They want the Hunting Act repealed so they can to travel back to a time where hunting wild animals with dogs and ripping them apart was legal."
